Selling in Probate + Avoiding Dust = Fair Price! (A true story…)
660 Wilcrest, Memorial Area
If a person is going to sell their property “as-is” then I would certainly recommend AHB. The people were very pleasant, professional and communicative. They were totally patient as we waited on the probate court for final approval of the sale. Everything happened according to my timing. As far as the company goes, I have no problem giving them a 5-star rating. I just signed my name a few times at closing and walked away. The downside to selling a property “as-is” is the sales price. At first thought it appears low. But I compared my situation to my sister’s situation. She is fixing up her house using contractors. What an expensive nightmare. The booklet that AHB gave me has a page at the back that discusses using contractors as compared to selling “as-is”. They should add “do-it-yourself interior design” and “dust” as negative aspects to using contractors. The central air system spreads dust everywhere creating yet more cleanup work. When I think of all of the hassle that I avoided then maybe the sales price wasn’t all that low after all. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that it was probably a fair price, just like the AHB booklet promised. -Bert H.
